I had an interview with Travelocity last week. Found out yesterday that they went with an internal candidate for the position I applied for, but the recruiter said that she believes she has 2 other positions that I would qualify for.
Interviewed with Home Depot at their contact center in Addison. Interview part went very well. They gave me a few skills tests. I scored 100% on Access, 100% on Excel, and 60% on Visual Basic. The score for VB concerned me, but considering my experience with VB was limited to just running the scripts, I think I did ok. Of course the job description didnt mention VB at all and I brought that up in my interview. The hiring manager said that it wasnt a requirement for the position, but that down the line they might use it more once their reporting is up and running. I mentioned to him that I was a quick learner and that I'm sure I would be able to pick it up quickly.
So I'm now taking an online course on VB and SQL. Learning what I can.
I've also decided that I am going to go back to school and get my MBA. I've been considering it for a few months now and decided that it is time. So now I'm also brushing up on things so that I can take the GMAT possibly in the fall. I've also been researching ways of paying for it via loans. Hopefully I'll find a position that will pay some towards the tuition expenses as well.
Other than that, not much else going on here. Same shit different day. My sleep schedule has been out of whack since last week. I've been getting maybe 2-3 hours of solid sleep a night. I tend to obsess about things until all hours of the night and my brain wont shut down enough to sleep. I've tried sleeping pills and have been able to get maybe 4-5 hours of sleep. If it doesnt get better by Monday, I'll be back in the doctor's office asking for him to give me something to help me sleep.
Well, back to my SQL class.
