Update on Things [Jan. 4th, 2009|04:15 pm]
Been a while since I posted. One of my goals for 2009 is to post more often.

Christmas - The trip home for Christmas was rather uneventful. I ended up driving this year due to the cost of airfare. I'm not sure if I'll make that drive again, but one never knows. Sparky and I made the 20 hour journey stopping every few hours so I could take him for a walk. West Virginia has the best rest areas for pets with actual trails. All the other states seem to have pet areas close to the traffic.
It was good to spend time with the parents. I didn't get out and about to see my friends like I wanted to. Sparky had a fun time playing with my parents' dog Comet. I got to spend some good quality time as "Uncle Mike" with my nieces and nephew.

Work - I still have not transitioned to my new position. My replacements started last Monday and I've been attempting to train them. It has been a challenge because they don't have computers on their desks yet. In fact, I don't have one at my new cubical yet either. According to my manager, Joe and Robin will start formal training towards the end of this week. They were a big help last week though, as I was trying to wind down things for our month-end close. Because I have to training them, my hours have changed back to 8a to 5p, so I'm trying to get used to getting up early in the morning again.

Bill - Still looking for work. He has had a few leads, but nothing has panned out yet. He was in Minnesota for the holiday, spending almost 3 week with his mother and her partner, Karen. He will have to go back there in the near future as his mom is having surgery and will need him around to help take care of her.
Financially, we are still doing ok. I was able to add him to my health insurance until he finds a job. I don't foresee us making too many trips this year, so planned trips to Boot Camp, Delta and Inferno might have to be cancelled.

Me - I'm still hanging in there. Meds are still helping, but I'm still finding myself having drastic mood swings. I probably need to up to dosage that I've been taking. The doctor told me I could take up to 3 pills when I go to bed. I've only been taking 1 each night and occasionally 2 when I have a rough day at work. I hate taking 2 because I feel like a zombie the next morning. Otherwise, I'm doing good.
I hate making new year's resolutions cause I normally break them. This year, I'm working on setting goals for myself. Not only goals for 2009, but for the next 5 years. I'll post more regarding them as soon as I finalize them.

Hugs to everyone.

*hugs* to you, and to Bill.

I sincerely hope you can make it to Delta...
