For the past several months (heck, probably a year now), I've been averaging 3-4 hours a night of sleep and it hasnt been "good" sleep. It's not that I stay up late. I'm usually in bed by 10:30 and the alarm is set for 6:30. More than enough time for me to get the sleep I need
The problem: my brain will not shut down at night. I lay in bed and my mind runs through the events of the day and what will probably happen the next day. Eventually, I do fall asleep. Most nights, something will wake me up and my brain will go into overdrive again.
A lot of it is due to stress at work. I've been working almost 60 hours a week these days. Add that to the lack of sleep, and my health has been real messed up for the past year.
Weight - I'm now at the heaviest I have ever been. Even though I have been watching what I've been eating and not eating past 7pm at night, the pounds have been building up. The doctor said that the slack of sleep and the stress are probably preventing the weight loss.
Blood Pressure - oh yeah, its high. Between everything that has been going on, he said he expected it to be on the high end.
So we'll see how things go for the next month. Im just glad vacation time is here.
Hugs to all
