Work: I accepted the position at work. Now the fun part of hiring my replacements. Yes, that is correct, replacements. The company has decided that they are going to higher 2 people to fill my position. A financial analyst and an account analyst. I get to start my new position when the positions are filled. They are shooting for Jan 1.
My client has not been told yet. He's not going to be happy.

Home: Foundation and plumbing work are completed. My parents visited over Thanksgiving, so my Dad and I did some rewiring and put recessed lighting in the hallways.
Bill is still looking for work. With the state of the economy, things are tough out there for everyone. I'm sure he'll find something soon. He leaves her on the 12th to fly to Minnesota to spend the holidays with his family. We went and bought him a new cell phone today and added him to my plan. At least now we can chat when he is in MN and I'm in PA over Christmas.
I'm driving to PA this year. I thought about flying, but after paying for airfare, rental car for 10 days and boarding the dog for 12, it was cheaper for me to drive. So Sparky and I are leaving Dallas on our roadtrip on the 18th.
Christmas gifts for the parents, nieces and nephew have been purchased. I still have to get Bill's, but I already know what I am getting him. I just need to buy it and give it to him before he leaves on Friday.

Everything else is going well these days. Meds are still working and I'm actually sleeping at night. I've scaled back taking them on the weekends, although I probably shouldn't. I didnt take them at all over the Thanksgiving holiday and didnt have trouble sleeping those nights. Still take them during the week though, work stress is ever present as usual.

Hope all is well with everyone.

Update on the last update

So I mentioned in my last post, that my client will not be happy when he is told that I am moving to a new position. I think I'll be right on that.

I checked my work email tonight and there was a message from my client's CFO:
We just wanted to say Thank you for all the hard work you have done for us.
Have you ever considered moving to San Diego? We would love to have you as a member of our team.
Please give me a call on Monday and let's discuss
Best Regards,
Dxxx Sxxxxxx
Chief Financial Officer"

Hmmmmm.. as much as I'd love living in San Diego. I don't think this is going to happen. But it is nice to know I am appreciated that they would consider me for a position at their corporate office.
