Wednesday after work, Dad and I headed to the Eagle for a few drinks to start the holiday week off on the right foot. Felt good to finally wind down and just relax.
Thursday, we headed over to our friend John's place for Thanksgiving dinner. It was a nice small crowd, I think there were 9 of us there. Lots of good food and conversation.
Headed home around 8pm and basically crashed for the night
Friday was my birthday. Both of us were up and about around 8am. I did some work around the house and then we were off to do some shopping. Stopped for lunch and picked up a few cigars at Up in Smoke. Dad had to head into work for a few hours, so I worked in the yard, raking leaves and acorns. Chatted with our neighbor. Cleaned out the leaves from the pool. Dad got home around 6pm. We were going to head out to dinner, but decided to grab a quick bite to eat and head to the bar.
Got to the Eagle around 7:30pm, and it was dead. Didnt seem like it picked up until around 10pm, and then it was a light crowd. Not a typical Friday night. The bartenders treated me very well for my birthday and Dad reaped some of the benefits as well.
It was definitely a struggle to get out of bed on Saturday, but I finally did around 10am. Dad and I got dressed and headed out to the Army/Navy store to pick up my new boots (his birthday present to me).
We stopped at Shades of Grey to pick up a new leather jock, but didnt find anything that I really liked, so we headed off to the video store to rent movies. Ended up with 3 movies for the night - "Raising Helen", "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban", and "Elf". Ended up watching Harry Potter twice over the weekend. Heated up the hot tub later in the evening, and smoked our cigars.
Sunday, we took Sparky to the dog park and basically relaxed all day. I did a few loads of laundry and worked on cleaning windows. Fun, I know.
That about sums it all up. Still having major problems with reporting for the new rez system at work. Basically, a co-worker and I are creating our own reports in the system. I.T. finally gave us unlimited access to the database, so hopefully by Wednesday, I'll be back in business producing my reports for corporate.
