After -Christmas happenings [Dec. 28th, 2004|02:20 pm]
Well, I think the Christmas Eve pool party was a success. Although people didnt really believe that we would be getting into the pool with the temps dropping to the 20s but we did. Dad and I heated the pool to 100 degrees and the hottub to 104. I'll post pics as soon as I can find the disk that I stored them on.
We ended up with 12 people at the party, which was fine with me. There was a ton of food left over. I havent a clue why I cooked so much, but I guess its better to have too much food than not enough. Next year, we are telling the guests not to eat dinner before they arrive.

Santa Clause must have decided that since I was so good at being naughty this year that he would overlook the naughty stuff. My parents sent me a check for Dad and I to put towards the purchase of a freezer. Dad bought me Spiderman 2, Shrek and Shrek 2, LOTR extended version, a few shirts, a video that plugs into the TV (has Ms PacMan and 4 other games on it)and a a calculator/casino game to keep me occupied at work. (Calculator is on one side, Casino game is on the reverse side). I got him Seasons 3 thru 6 of Little House on the Prairie, Volumes 1-8 of the Rifleman, and a bottle of his favorite cologne for work.

Work is relatively slow this week with my boss out of the office til next week. I am actually finding time to get some work done in preparation for monthend/quarter-end/year-end reporting next week.

No plans yet for New Years Eve. Not sure what we'll do. I hate being on the freeways over the holidays. Its Amateur night for the drunks and I'd rather avoid them if possible.

Only 1 1/2 more days and my weekend begins.

Sounds very Swedish...taking a dip while it's very cool outside.

I just realized I inadvertantly left you out of my LJ Xmas gift list!

I meant to wish you the very best and hopes that your list got fulfilled by Santa. Sounds like yer Dad took care of thst nicely. Sorry I can be so flaky.

Happy New year to ya!

Happy New Year to you too buddy!

I worked at a ski resort for 7 years. The best part of winter was getting in the hottub after a long day of work, relaxing while snow was falling down around us.

Hope you had a great Christmas holiday as well.
